Cose da non dire, Simone Togneri, Edizioni Anteprima Lindau, pag. 268, euro 16,00
Firenze. E' tarda notte. Il telefono squilla, frantumando il sonno. Gerard replied, still groggy from drowsiness. A woman cries and tells him that someone wants to kill. The jeweler thought it was a joke, but she seems genuinely desperate. He proposes to call the police, but she begs him not to. If someone called the police, she will die. Gerard Ferri is not a hero, is a thirty-year normal. He un'attivtà commercial, a girlfriend he loves, friends, few but good, is anything but a hero. Yet when the woman begs him to come and take it and take it away, says yes. She dresses in a hurry, take a knife as a precaution, and mounts in the car starting at full speed to the direction where the girl is misteriosa.Una Once arrived, they found waiting for him inside the phone booth had pointed to the girl, the corpse of an unknown woman (presumably the same girl who phoned him), a web of glass and a grin split blood on the floor that seems to smile, evil. Gerardo is dumbfounded, but did not have time even to wonder what the hell happened, which is surrounded by the policemen who handcuffed him and arrested.
The cops frisk him and find the knife, we say, does not improve its position in that ugly thing. The jeweler is questioned directly at the crime scene, and an early response, his story creaks. The sergeant who questioned him think that is telling nonsense, and that it was he who killed the woman, who apparently knew. The young jeweler
defends himself by saying that he has nothing to do. At that point, the sergeant showed him a business card that the corpse clutched between his fingers. It 's the business card of jewelry Ferri. The young man said that ticket does not mean anything, someone may have given to the woman, or it may have found it. The business card is not the home number of the jeweler. That number does not appear even in the phone book. So how can a woman known to have had that number?
Gerard Ferri is arrested for murder first degree, and from that moment his life slipping inexorably Hell.

Togneri is an excellent writer. He has many qualities from the standpoint of a purely "technical" has a very good writing, fast dry, put down the realistic dialogue, the plot unfolds with a series of intecci anxiety, unable to keep awake the reader's attention throughout the book, each time revealing a mystery proposes another, and certainly not bored. But his greatest quality as a writer is not in the technical background, but a psychological one. In my humble opinion, the best ability to Simone Togneri is to get inside the characters. It almost seems that they live, which is based with them, giving quella naturalezza e quella verosimiglianza che permette al lettore di sentirli vicini.
Il suo only desire seems to ruin the life of the jeweler. But why? And most importantly, who is the mysterious "Guardian Angel"? Who is this evil "manipulator of destiny"? For the ability to build a close and compelling plot, with a pure soul thriller, Togneri reminded me of the very great American writer Harlan Coben, Phillip Margolin and also, although to a lesser extent. The combination with Coben, is not reckless. Coben and Togneri are very similar in 'incantenare the reader itself, and not leave it again for a night full of spasms and chills. They both have the gift to drag the reader into the story, making him feel the protagonist's anxiety, fear and a sense of annihilation in see their lives shattered piece by piece.
This psychological thriller is not populated by serial killers, maniacs, monsters or esoteric rites; about a man who Ritov & crushed in the grip of a trap so well designed that it is almost impossible to get out. The tension grows page by page, until you get the amazing final, where Togneri gives us his greatest lesson that has to do with shadows and darkness.
If this book were a movie, it would be a film by David Fincher, rhythm and sense of anguish. Things not to say you do not read, but you can see with your eyes, as if it were a movie and we were the protagonist. A protagonist who is just hell, with no apparente possibilità di redenzione.
